Privacy Policy

1. Privacy-First Commitment

At Slay or Nay ("we," "our," or "us"), we believe your personal fashion choices and photos are your business. We have designed our mobile applications (iOS and Android) and our website (https://slaynay.app) with a strict privacy-first architecture. No account registration is required to check your outfits, and we do not collect personal identifiers like your name, email address, or phone number during normal usage.

2. Photos and Face Data

Some AI styling features use photos that may include your face. We collect this face data only when you choose to take or upload a photo for an app or website feature.

  • Photos you submit: outfit photos, full-body/person photos, face selfies for Style DNA, comparison photos, and try-on photos that may show your face.
  • Derived style attributes: non-identifying styling outputs such as color season, skin undertone or contrast observations, Kibbe silhouette, facial style essences, photo quality guidance, outfit scores, and written styling recommendations.
  • What we do not collect: we do not collect or create Face ID data, faceprints, biometric templates, identity-verification data, or face-recognition profiles.
  • No AI training: your photos and face data are not used by us to train AI models, and we request processing from our AI providers only for the feature you selected.

3. How We Use Face Data

Face data is used only to provide the styling features you request:

  • Style DNA: a face selfie and full-body photo help estimate your color season, skin undertone/contrast, Kibbe silhouette, and facial style essences for style recommendations.
  • Outfit checks and comparisons: full-body photos may include your face and are used to score outfits, compare looks, assess photo quality, and generate styling feedback.
  • Glow-Up and try-on previews: photos may be used to design styling upgrades, generate flat-lay boards, or create a try-on preview of clothes on your submitted photo.
  • Personalization and safety: derived style attributes may tune future recommendations, enforce daily limits, prevent abuse, and help block invalid or unsafe image requests.

4. Sharing and Processors

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share face data for advertising. We share submitted photos and derived styling data only with service providers needed to deliver the requested feature: Supabase, which hosts our secure Edge Functions, storage, database, and rate-limit infrastructure; and Google Gemini, which processes AI image analysis and image generation requests. Payment data is handled by the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and RevenueCat; diagnostics may be processed by Sentry.

5. Retention and Deletion

  • Original uploaded photos: original photos are processed transiently through encrypted HTTPS and are not permanently stored on our servers after the requested AI processing completes.
  • Derived server analysis: outfit analysis reports and locked previews may be cached in Supabase for up to 30 days so users can unlock or reopen their result.
  • Generated face try-on images: generated try-on images that may include a rendered version of your face are returned to the app and stored locally on your device only; they are not stored as server artifacts.
  • Local device data: Style DNA attributes, outfit history, wardrobe items, closet photos, and try-on history are stored on your device until you delete entries, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
  • Deletion controls: you can delete local history and wardrobe entries in the app. You can also erase app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage.

6. Other Data We Collect

Because we do not require account creation, we do not collect typical registration data. However, to provide our services and process payments, we collect:

  • Usage & Diagnostics Data: non-personally identifiable logs including device model, operating system version, app version, language setting, and crash logs.
  • In-App Purchase Data: transaction tokens, subscription state, and consumable credit balance. We do not collect or store credit card numbers; all payments are handled securely through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • IP Address: standard network logging is used transiently to protect our APIs from abuse, rate limits, and DDOS attacks.

7. Children's Privacy

Slay or Nay is designed for individuals aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will immediately delete it.
